Dhaka: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will form her new cabinet before January 10, Bangladesh Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said on Tuesday.

The ruling Awami League-led coalition clinched a landslide victory in Sunday’s general election.

The newly elected members of Parliament will take oath on January 3, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said.

The term of the current Hasina administration will end January 28.

Quader, also the country’s road transport and bridges minister, told journalists that preparations were underway to form the new government.
