Jammu: Paramilitary BSF on Friday recovered heroin worth Rs 15 crores on Indo-Pak international border in Akhnoor sector here.

“On specific information of Border Security Force’s G-branch, a joint BSF-Army this morning carried out a search operation in the area ahead of border fence in Akhnoor Sector of International Border,” official sources here said.

They said that the search resulted into the recovery of three packets weighting approximately one kg each, containing narcotics substance hidden approximately 250 metres inside Indian territory.

They said that tentative cost of the seized narco item weighing 3 kg, in International market is estimated to be 15 crores.

“Further search of the area is still in progress,” they said.
