Sopore:Several patients along with their attendants and locals in north Kashmir’s Sopore took out a protest demonstration outside ”Mother and Child Hospital” in Sopore against the shortage of doctors.

Reports said that protest demonstration was held against the health department and the protesters blocked the road outside MCH hospital Sopore and demanded immediate redressal of the issue.

“The vehicle movement on Sopore –Srinagar road came to a complete halt from at least two hours due to the protest,” they said.

Later, a police party reached the spot and assured the protestors that the matter will be taken to higher authorities of health department.

The Block Medical officer Sopore Dr Sami termed it a false allegation and said that the hospital has proper staff.
