Srinagar:Dead body of a driver was recovered from his torched vehicle at Reshnagri village of southern Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Witnesses said that a driver identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Sheikh son of Muhammad Yousuf Sheikh, a resident of Yaar DH Pora Kulgam was found in his vehicle bearing registration JK03B-8862.

Local residents said that the place where the dead body along with the vehcile was found, testifies that the vehicle was torched after Sheikh was killed.

Attempts to reach district police Shopian did not materialise.
