Bloodbath in Pulwama: Students clash with government forces in north Kashmir’s Sopore

Srinagar: The killings of seven civilians by government forces in Pulwama has led to protests in northern Kahsmir Sopore in Baramulla district on Saturday.

Reports said students of Degree College Sopore hit streets protesting the “massacre” and pelted stones on government forces. The forces, reports said, fire tear smoke shells to disperse the protesting students.

Clashes were going on when this report was being filed.

Three militants and an army personnel were killed during a gunfight in Kharpora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The militant killings led to violent protests in the area. Government forces used bullets to disperse the protesters killing seven civilians.
