Srinagar: Clashes between government forces and civilian protesters erupted in Srinagar’s old city area on Friday.

Reports said that the youth clashed with government forces outside Jamia Masjid in Srinagar’s Nowhatta soon after the congregational prayers culminated.

They said that government forces used tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse the protesters.
