Two BSF troopers injured in border shelling at Rajouri

Srinagar: Two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were critically injured in cross-border shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday evening.

A police officer said that Pakistan army in “violation of ceasefire” attacked the posts of 126 bn of BSF along the border in Sunderbani sector.

In the incident, Dashrat Maji and Mursheed Alam suffered serious wounds. Both the injured were taken to hospital for treatment.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Nowshera Popsy Malik also confirmed the incident and said that the troops responded the fire triggering off the cross-border shelling in the area.

When reports last came in, the intermittent exchange of firing was going on. (GNS)
