Srinagar: Intense clashes amid pro freedom protest broke out in Arizal and Hardupanzu villages of central kashmir’s Budgam district after news about the killing of two militants in a neighbouring village spread.
Witnesses told The Kashmir Press that scores of yoth hit streets and hurled rocks and stones on government forces. The government forces, they said, lobbed tear smoke shells and fired pellets to disperse them.
As this report was being filed, intense clashes were going on in both the villages.
Meanwhile authorities have suspended mobile internet services in the district. Official sources said that the services have been snapped as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order.
