Mumbai:The Rupee on Wednesday tumbled by 23 paise to 73.91 in opening trade on brisk demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at Forex Market said.

The local unit fell on strong Dollar against other world currencies in early trade.

A major fluctuation was seen during intra day trade as it registered day high and low at 74.15 and 73.84 respectively, they added.
