CASO called off after no contact with militants was established,several injured in clashes

Srinagar: CASO was called off after Several persons were injured in Dreed-Kalipora village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, clashes erupted between the protestors and government forces during a cordon and search operation on Saturday.

Reports said that scores of the youth assembled and pelted stones on government forces to disrupt the CASO in the area. Forces retaliate with tear gas shells to disperse the protestors.

They added that several persons sustained injuries during clashes and were rushed to a nearby hospital where from pellet injury persons were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

Sources said that the operation was called off after no contact was established with the militants during the massive searches.
