Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police and other paramilitary forces during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday conducted nocturnal raids in southern Kashmir district of Shopian and arrested eight youth.

Local sources said that police at around 2 amraided Darshalnoo village of Shopian and asked the villagers to come out of their houses.  “They later arrested eight youth.”

The arrested youth have been identified as Nawaz Ahmad Dar, Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, Jahangir Ahmad Mir, Bilal Ahmad Dar, Showkat Ahmad Dar, Asif Ahmad Paul, Zefan Fayaz and Muzamil Ahmad Sheikh.
