J&K police detain scores of NC activists in Srinagar protesting Kulgam killings

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday detained scores of activists of National Conference (NC) in Srinagar.

The activists led by party secretary general Ali Muhammad Sagar were holding a demonstration against the Kulgam killings.

The party activists along with Sagar took out a protest march from the Nawai-e-Subah headquarters against the killings in south Kashmir’s Kulgam, witnesses said. “The protesters carrying placards and banners were shouting Pro-Kashmir and anti-BJP slogans,” reports said.

As the protesters reached near Radio Kashmir station, police swung into action and detained many NC activists and bundled them in police vehicles.
