Northern Kashmir: DySP rank police officer injured in militant attack at Pattan

Srinagar: A Deputy Superintendent of Police (operations) Pattan has been injured in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district after suspected militants attacked a police party in the area.

Reports said that militants hurled a grenade on a Police naka party at Pattan resulting in injuries to a Dysp. The police officer was identified as Zafar Ahmad.

The nature of the injury to the police officer could not be ascertained immediately.

They said that the government forces cordoned off the area launched a manhunt to nab the militants.
