Srinagar: Intense clashes broke out in several parts of Downtown Srinagar on Wednesday after the killing of two local militant and a civilian in a gunfight in Old City’s Fateh Kadal area.

A policeman was also killed in the gunfight.

Sources said that clashes erupted at several places including Khanyar, Baba demb, Fateh Kadal, Kaw Mohalla and at other places.

Police has identified the slain militants as Mehrajud Din Bangroo, a resident of Fateh Kadal and Faizan Mushtaq Waza, a resident of Khanyar.

The slain civilian has been identified as Rayees Habib. He is the son of the house owner where gunfight took place.
