Srinagar: 260 votes have been cast in 16 of the 17 wards that go to polls in northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district at 10 am Monday morning.

One of the 17 wards is uncontested as only one nomination was filed for the ward.

Out of 260, female votes polled were 87 while men polled 173 votes. Polling began at 7:00 in the morning.

The first phase of municipal and local body elections started this morning. 1204 candidates are in fray in the first phase of polls.
