Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday expressed anguish over the killing of two National Conference party workers in Srinagar.

“Pained to hear about the killing of two NC workers . My heart goes out to their families & children . Cannot possibly imagine what they must be going through . (SIC),” Mehbooba tweeted.

Two National Conference (NC) workers were shot dead and another injured after unknown gunmen fired at them in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar.

A police official confirmed that the two dead in the incident were NC workers.
