Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday arrested JKLF chairman, Yasin Malik from his office at Abi Guzar area of Srinagar.

A JKLF Spokesperson said that a police party came to the party office and arrested Malik.

The arrest of Malik comes ahead of Panchayat and local bodies elections in Jammu Kashmir.

Resistance leaders have already called for a boycott of the polls.

Before his arrest Malik addressed the media and reiterated the call for boycott of upcoming Panchayat and Urban Local Body polls.
