Srinagar: One person was killed and another injured in a road accident in Ganderbal district late last night.

Reports said that a car bearing registration number PB02AL-5194 skidded of the road and fell down into a deep gorge around 9:00 pm Monday near the tourist resort of Naranag. They said that one person died on the spot while another sustained injuries.

The injured was rushed to Sub District hospital Kangan and was later shifted to SKIMS Soura for specialised treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Alam Rasool Khan, 57, a resident of Wussan Bela Kangan while the injured has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Ahad Shah of Fraw Gund.

Police has registered a case and taken up the investigations.
