J&K Govt to pay one month extra salary to employees performing poll duty, security to candidates

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday said that it will give one moth additional salary to the employees for poll duty.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, the chief secretary VR Subramaniyam said that the elections will be held on time and the employees who will perform duties during polling days will be paid an additional salary of one month.

The chief secretary said that the candidates contesting the elections will be provided adequate security. “We have made adequate security arrangements for the security of the candidates. We have booked more than 300 rooms for the candidates in Srinagar,” he said.

He also said that elaborate security measures have been made in southern and northern Kashmir southern
