Militant killing: Authorities suspend train services on Srinagar-Banihal track

Srinagar: Authorities on Saturday suspended train services in from Srinagar to Banihal after a militant was killed in a brief shootout with government forces at Ranipora in Anantnag District.

However, the railway officials said that the train will chug routinely on Srinagar-Baramulla track.

Pertinently, a militant, identified as Bilal Ahmad Bhat, of Yaripora in Kulgam district was killed in Achabal area late last night, while a policeman suffered injuries.
