Srinagar: Government forces on Thursday evening launched a Cordon and Search Operation in northern Kashmir’s Sopore town.

Sources said that a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, Special Operation Group of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Behrampora area of Sopore.

They said that the forces conducted door to door searches of the residential houses.

Police sources said that the CASO was launched after specific inputs about the movement of militants in the area.
