Mumbai: The Rupee on Monday slipped by five paise to 68.70 against the USD Dollar in early trade on rising demand for US Dollars by banks and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit eased on firm Dollar against other world currecies, they said.
Major fluctuation was seen during the day as it registered day high and low at 68.79 and 68.68 respectively, they added.
