M Yousuf Wani elected as president PSAJK

 

Initiative in providing Quality education to continue

Srinagar: Mohammed Yousuf Wani, chairman Green Valley Educational Institute was today unanimously elected as the president of Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) as the current incumbent G N Var is leaving for Hajj pilgrimage.

Wani was elected during a meeting that was attended by the members of its executive council. On this occasion the services of previous president were lauded. Everybody praised the work that has been done in quality education and for benefit of both students and private schools during the last few years. The members acknowledged that number of revolutionary steps were taken under the previous  leadership which helped in streamlining the sector.

The members while welcoming Wani for becoming the next president hoped that he will continue the mission with more zeal and enthusiasm. The Association said that although much has been achieved during last few years but more needs to be done.

“One of the biggest contributions has been to streamline this sector and give it a direction. Now private schools know what to do and how to prepare our future generation to meet challenges of the world,” said Var. “I am confident that Mohammed Yousuf Wani will take the education sector to new heights. He has immense experience in education sector and we will definitely benefit from that.”

Mohammed Yousuf Wani is a well known educationist who started the GVEI in 1990’s when people didn’t dare to invest in this sector and entire educations sector was in disarray. GVEI has now emerged as one of the best educational institutes in the state and its students are often toppers in annual secondary and higher secondary examinations. Wani is a law graduate with dedicated interest in education.

On the occasion the new president thanked the members for choosing him for the coveted post. “The honour which you have bestowed on my shoulders means a lot for me. Together with your cooperation and help I promise to work for the betterment of education sector,” said Wani. “We have number of issues to deal with and I am sure that all of them will be resolved and we will continue with our mission of providing quality education to our next generations.”
