TRAL : Windstorm amid heavy rainfall, Monday night triggered flash floods in Tral villages incurring huge losses to crops.

“Many areas adjoining Kahlil, Tral have incurred huge losses as standing crops in the area.” locals said.

The areas include Wazilkulnad, Nagapathri and many parts of Lalpora Kahlil in Tral sub district.

“We were expecting good yield this year but to our dismay winds and regular spells of rain have badly damaged the crop,” said a resident from Wazilkulnad Tral.
