Srinagar: Amid pro-freedom slogans slain Faizan Ahmad Poswal, a 10th class student was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard at Ladhoo in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Sources said that Faizan was son of Dr. Abdul Gani who was killed in government forces firing during clashes near the encounter site at Chatpora in Pulwama town on Friday.

Despite heavy rainfall, thousands of people from different areas of Pulwama district reached Gosainad, Ladhoo and participated in the last rites of the slain boy.

The mourners were shouting pro-freedom, pro-militants and anti-India slogans.
