Waza pays glowing tributes to slain Gassipora Youth

Srinagar: Senior Hurriyat Leader and Jammu Kashmir People’s League (JKPL) Chairman Mukhtar Ahmad Waza visited the residence of slain civilian Yawar Ahmad of at Gassipora Wanpoh area of district Kulgam .

While expressing solidarity with his family, Waza paid glowing tributes to Yawar and said Kashmiri youth were  spilling their blood for the cause of freedom and self- determination.

He said,”Precious blood of our youth will not go waste.”

Yawar was killed after government forces opened fire on youth at Qaimoh Kulgam near an encounter site.

While speaking on Kashmir issue, he said the issue in Kashmir was not about Hindu India versus Muslim Kashmir.

“Rather,it is a political issue which needs India, Pakistan and Kashmiri genuine leadership to come on the table of negotiations and settle it in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations,” he said, while addressing the family members.

He said that the dispute could be resolved through tripartite talks in line with the relevant UN resolutions.

On the occasion, party members Shabir Ah,Riyaz Ahmad and Javaid Ahmad also accompanied Mukhtar waza.
