Srinagar: Police has arrested three persons in connection with creating fake website of Jammu and Kashmir bank.

The police said that following a written compliant, Khursheed Muzafar, chief information security officer  of Jammu and Kashmir bank that a fake website was being run online, an investigation was launched to probe the matter.

Later, police station Maisuma arrested an accused person involved in a case FIR No 14/2018 under section 419 RPC, 66C Information Technology Act at Police Station Kothi Bagh related to cyber crime and cheating.

During the course of investigation, police said two persons namely Ilyas Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Hassan Mir, resident of Brazloo, Kulgam  and Junaid Bashir son of Bashir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Dal Hassanyaar, Habba Kadal, Srinagar were found to be involved in creating a fake website of J&K Bank for some ulterior motives.

One of the accused Junaid Basheer was arrested Tuesday.

Further investigation in the case is going on.
