Srinagar: Clashes erupted between protesters and government forces in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district after government forces launched cordon-and-search-operations in Tawheeed Abad and Parray Mohalla of Hajin.

Sources said that soldiers of 13(RR) and Special Operation Group (SOG) personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police cordoned off the two localities and started searches.

As the searches intensified the youth resorted to stone pelting on forces who retaliated triggering clashes between them.
