Civilian killed, ten police men injured in Anantnag clashes

Srinagar: At least ten police men were injured during clashes between youths and government forces in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.

Reports said that besides killing of a youth, and wounding Arlene 25 civilians, ten police men were also injured during the clashes.

The injured police men were identified as:
Aijaz Ahmad ( No 1275 A ) Mohammad Ashraf ( No 568 ) resident of Shangus, Bilal Ahmad (DPL, Anantnag ) resident of Kulgam, Burhan Afzal ( No 1060 A ), Aaqib Shafi ( No 1067 A ), Altaf Hussain ( No 1020 A ), Haroon Mir ( No 1353 A), Irshad Iqbal Khan ( No. 983 A ), J P Singh son of Herpal Singh and Mohammad Afzal .

Earlier a youth Sheeraz Ahmad Naikoo was killed during the protests while as nine youths sustained pellet injuries in eyes.
