Srinagar: All Jammu & Kashmir Patwar Association on Friday condemns the killing of senior editor Shujahat Bukhari.
In a statement AJKPA termed the yesterdays incident as “barbaric” and “gruesome” incident.
“This killing in which one of the renowned journalist was brutally matyred, they said that the some people are muzzling the voice of common masses of Kashmir was silenced killing the senior journalist.
Sajjad Siddiqui State President in its press statement has described Bukhari’s as the rising sun of journalism who was always involved in raising the issues of voiceless people of kashmir.
“The cowardly act has been carried out to curb the freedom of press in kashmir & deter our journalist fraternity from speaking truth,” he said.
Siddiqui expressed his sympathy & condolences with the bereaved family & prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Meanwhile AJKPA demands impartial probe in the cold blooded murder of the veteran Journalist.
Earlier Bukhari was killed in Press Enclave at Srinagar along with his two PSO’s.
