Protests in Pulwama village following vandalisation of Sameer tiger’s grave

Protests erupted in Drabgam village of district  Pulwama after news of  vandalisation of grave of slain Hizb commander Sameer Ahmad Bhat aka Sameer Tiger spread in the area
Reports said that locals took to streets and observed shutdown after news about the “desecration” of the grave   spread in the area, “The grave has been vandalised and gravestone is missing,” said a local
Earlier, villagers had  blamed army for “vandalizing” and “desecrating” the grave of Hizb Commander Sameer Tiger during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday
Police while talking to The Kashmir Press said that army had denied the allegations ,”The gravestone is missing and we are ascertaining the facts and will see who is involved,” a top police official  told The Kashmir Press.”Those who desecrated the grave will be dealt strictly accordingly,” he added

Sameer Ahmad Bhat aka Sameer tiger was killed in a six hour gun battle  with government forces at Drabgam viillage on April 30
