In times of ‘peace talks,’ Deputy Chief minister speaks of taking ‘PaK back from Pakistan’

Srinagar: Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta  Wednesday said that people should forget Kashmir’s merger with Pakistan and India will take back the Pakistan-administered-Kashmir.

Talking to reporters in Srinagar, Gupta said that it was not for the first time that a hand of friendship was extended to Pakistan from this side, but such offers made in the past as well.

He, however, said Pakistan did not reciprocate.

“The offer for the friendly-ties was sent yet again. I think Pakistan should come forward with a clear heart to end the hostility,” he said.

About the statement made Union Minister, Sushma Swaraj, that “talks and terrorism will not go together,” Deputy Chief Minister stated that there might be logic behind her statement.

“A process for the dialogue has been started as both the governments including central as well as the state want peace in Kashmir. Kashmir is the paradise on earth and peace must prevail in this paradise,” Gupta said, who is also legislator for the right wing BJP party.

Gupta further suggested Hurriyat to come forward and reciprocate the talks offer by the New Delhi.

He said that the steps have been taken to ensure peace in the Valley.

“Mothers were seen pleading their sons to return home. I think the people should forget seeking merger of Kashmir Pakistan and India will take back the Pakistan-administered-Kashmir,” Gupta said who has also been an active RSS member.
