Kupwara: Two died, five injured in road mishap

At least two persons including 16-year-old boy died while five others sustained injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in rolled down in to a deep gorge at Kralpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.

Official sources said that a load carrier rolled down into a deep gorge at Manchatar, which resulted into the death of two persons including and a teenage boy and injuries to five others including the driver.

The deceased were identified as Raees Ahmad son of Riyaz Ahmad and 16-year-old Parvez Ahmad Khwaja of Dardpora Kupwara.

The injured persons were rushed to Kupwara hospital where from four seriously injured were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

Three among the five injured persons were identified as Altaf Ahmed Khoja, son of Abdullah Khoja (driver), Shabir Ahmed Khoja, son of M. Yousaf Khoja, Javaid Ahmed Khoja, son of Ab. Samad.
