Hajin shuts to mourn civilian killing

A complete shutdown is being observed in Prang Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district to protest against the killing of a civilian, Yaqoob Ahmad Wagay.

Sources said that all the shops, schools and business establishments have been closed and traffic is off the roads. “The people are protesting against the gruesome and unabated killing of the civilian,” they added.

Yaqoob was killed by unknown persons abducted him from his home and slit his throat.

Although the police have accused LeT a militant outfit for carrying out such killing but in a recent released audio clip the militants refuted the allegations and said that it is the handy work of some “Indian agencies”.
