Chief of Army staff General Bipin Rawat on Friday said that Major Gogoi will face a strict punishment if found guilty

Rawat said nobody is above law and if Gogoi is found guilty of committing a crime, punishment meted out to him will act as a lesson

Major Gogoi was arrested from a Srinagar Hotel on Wednesday with a girl . Before being arrested he was beaten black and blue by the locals

In 2017 Major Gogoi tied a man to an Army vehicle’s bonnet.
