The minister visited the shrine to take stock of developmental works being executed by various agencies under the Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine.

During the visit, the minister inspected various areas of the shrine and sought details regarding the progress of the work. He also directed experts to see if further improvements can be made to the site plan.

Expressing his disappointment over what he termed as laidback attitude of executing agencies including INTACH, SICOP and JKPCC, the Minister stressed for improved coordination between various agencies for developing the shrine and its surroundings area in a holistic, integrated and eco-friendly manner.

Mufti while expressing his concern over the erection of temporary sheds and additional structures within the site premises said that it not only mars visual appeal of the shrine but also acts as major hindrance in the smooth link between several sectors of the site.
