No let up in cross border firing on 3rd day

The exchange of mortar shells, firing between Indian and Pakistani troopers continued along the International Border at Arina sector on Monday, sources said.

Sources added that in yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistani Rangers today fired mortar shells on border outposts at several places in Jammu and Kashmir’s Arnia sector.

The shelling prompts retaliation by the Border Security Force or BSF soldiers guarding the International Border.

Earlier on Saturday eleven civilians were killed in cross border firing from both the sides of the line of control.
