A 14-year old girl sustained bullet injury in DK-pora village of Shopian in South Kashmir on Monday late night.

The girl has been identified as Aksa Jan, 14.

Hospital sources said that the girl is going under treatment and is in critical condition.

The incident took place when an army party came to village to give ‘Iftar-party’ at DK-pora village, a move resisted by the local people.

“We told army that we don’t need any party from them but they didn’t left the village,” sources said.

Later villagers staged protest against their behave.

In response, army restored to indiscriminate firing in which several persons sustained injuries including this minor girl.
