Four civilians, two BSF troopers killed in Pak firing along IB

Four civilians and two Border Security Force troopers has been killed and dozens have been also injured in the cross border firing along the International Border on Friday.

The causalities have been reported soon after the Indian and Pakistani forces exchanged heavy fire in Jammu sector along the International Border.

This is third day of cross border shelling along the IB in Jammu frontier.

The exchange of firing started in the wee hours on Friday when the Pakistani troopers while violating the ceasefire fired upon the BSF positions.

“BSF troops guarding the borderline retaliated and exchanges are going on when reports last came in from the area,” sources said.

The injured have been admitted in the nearby hospitals for immediate treatment.

“In the heavy Pakistan shelling in R S Pura and Arnia sectors, five civilians have also been injured and evacuated to hospitals by police,” sources added.

During the exchange of firing several houses have suffered damage and few animals have died.

Earlier the authorities have closed the schools and the people have also been evacuated from their homes.
