Pak to observe May-18 as “Palestine solidarity day”

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, on Wednesday asked the people of Pakistan to observe May-18 as the “Palestine Solidarity Day”, Express Tribune reported.

“Abbasi has directed the people to express complete solidarity with the Palestinians over the killing of at least 60 Palestinians by the Israeli troopers in the conflict’s bloodiest day in years,” reports said.

Over 60 people were killed and as much as 2700 were wounded during clashes and protests along the Gaza border against the opening of US embassy in Jerusalem on Monday.

“The government and the people of Pakistan would continue supporting their Palestinian brethren and present their case at every forum,” reports said while quoting the Prime Minister.
