Senior resistance leader and Salvation Movement chairman Zafar Akbar Bhat paid glowing tributes to  prominent religious, social activist and pro-freedom leader Shaheed  Haji Ab Gani Bhat on his 13th martyrdom anniversary.

He said that Bhat will be remembered for his commendable services and contribution towards deprived class and destitute families.

Zafar said Bhat was time and again harrased, tortured and arrested 1990 onwards till he left for eternal abode.

Laying stress on social service and care for these destitute families, Zafar Akbar added that during past seven decades and particularly during 27 years of turmoil, devastation and destruction at the hands of forces, multiplied several social problems.

While lashing at local authorities, Zafar said that he had made all arrangements to commemorate Bhat’s martyrdom anniversary, but authorities while laying curbs and placing party chairman Bhat under continuous house arrest made this impossible .
