Pro-freedom protests broke out in Kashmir universities

Pro-freedom protests broke out two major universities of Kashmir against the killing of Kashmir university assistant professor and civilians during the recent clashes with forces.

Massive pro-freedom protests broke out in Kashmir University against the killing of the varsity’s assistant professor, Dr Rafi Bhat.

The students including male, females and also the relatives of Dr Rafi participated in the protests. They raised slogans in favour of freedom and Pakistan.

The students also raised banners featuring Dr Bhat at the sociology department. The students also waved Pakistani flag during the protest.

Paying rich tributes to Dr Rafi, various students talked in detail about Dr Rafi and praised him for his pedagogy.

Dr Rafi was killed along with four militants in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday. Five civilians were also killed.

The students of Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) Awantipora also staged a protest against the recent civilian killings in Kashmir.

Scores of students after boycotting the classes assembled in the premises of the University and held protests against the recent civilian killings in Shopian.

Chanting pro-freedom slogans, they were demanding an end the “unabated killings” in Kashmir.
