Ahead of ‘Secretariat Chalo’ call by Joint Resistance Leadership, Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was put under house arrest, while Yasin Malik has been put under detention on Monday.

As soon they tried to march towards Secretariat they were detained by the police and put under detention.

The call was given by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik. They had asked the people to hold a sit-in protest outside civil secretariat.

JRL in a statement express solidarity with the people and offer condolences to the bereaved families who lost their loved ones.
