Protests broke out in Kashmir University against the killing of Professor Mohammad Rafi Bhat in an encounter with government forces at Shopian.

Sources said that hundreds of protestors assembled in the park and held pro-freedom protest demonstrations against the killing of Dr. Rafi Bhat.

The protestors are marching towards the Alama Iqbal library, where they are going to held absentia funeral prayers for the slain professor.
