Body of Fayaz Hamal lying in the police control room Srinagar

The police has identfied one of the slain militants killed in Chattabal gunbatlle as Fayaz Ahmad Hamal of Dukan Sangin, Khanqah.

Police sources said the family has also identfied the Hammal and shortly the body will be handed over to them.

“Only one militant could be identfied,” police sources said. “The idnetfication of other two militants is yet to be asecrtained”

Fayaz used to run press and joined militancy in the year 2017. He was mostly active in Kulgam Shopian belt, sources said, adding,  it is yet to be known when he shifted to Srinagar.

The police had earlier said all the three militant belonged to laskar-e-Toiba militant outfit.
